Page Content Sections - News Teasers (3) Section

Use the News Teasers (3) section when you want to show up to three approved news items from selected categories on a page.

What this section is for

This section creates a compact row of news teasers that links visitors to your full news page.

Helpful details:

It only pulls news items from the categories you select.
It is different from the full News Page section, which shows the full news listing.
On default pages, the section uses the main content width.
On landing pages, the teaser row is centered inside a container.
The section always includes a View All News » link to /news.

Use Section Title to help your team identify the section while editing the page.

Helpful detail:

Use Background Color to choose the color styling for the teaser items.

Helpful details:

The selected color is applied to each teaser item, not to the entire section background.
If you choose white, the accent styling is based on the site's primary theme color.

Use Border Options to choose how each teaser item is outlined.

Options:

Use Headline to add a visible title above the teaser row.

Helpful detail:

The section header also includes the View All News » link, so it works best when you provide a headline.

Use Active to control whether this section is included when the page is rendered.

Helpful detail:

If Active is turned off, the section stays in the page editor but does not appear on the website.

This section shows up to 3 matching news items.
Only approved news items are included.
The section uses each news item's active, activation-date, and deactivation-date rules.
News is sorted with pinned items first, then by Published Date with newer dates first.
The section does not separately hide future-dated published items on its own.
Each teaser links to the full news page for that item.
Each teaser shows the headline, published date, and teaser blurb.
This section does not currently display the teaser image inside the teaser row.
If fewer than 3 news items match, it shows only the matches that exist.
If no news items match, the section can still show its header and View All News » link with no teaser items underneath.

Use categories deliberately if you want separate teaser rows for different types of updates.
Pin only the most important news so the top of the teaser row stays useful.
Keep teaser blurbs short so the section stays easy to scan.
If you want a larger archive or full listing, use a News Section instead.
Add teaser images to your news records if you want them available elsewhere, but do not expect them to appear in this section's current layout.
Use matching border and background styles with Events Teasers (3) or Promo Blocks (3) if you want a more consistent page design.

Check these items first:

the page was saved after your edits
the section's Active toggle is turned on
one or more categories were selected
the news item belongs to one of the selected categories
the news item is approved
the news item is active and within its activation and deactivation dates
you are not expecting the section to hide future-dated published items automatically
you remember that teaser images are not displayed in this section's current layout
