Page Content Sections - Membership Message Section
The Membership Message Section shows signed-in members a personalized message based on their Membership Type and current status. It's typically placed on the Member Dashboard or a renewal page.
This section has no editable fields of its own — the message content is configured on each Membership Type record, not in the page editor.
How it works
Clubistry checks the signed-in member's status and displays the appropriate message:
| Member status | Message shown |
|---|---|
| Unpaid | Renewal Message |
| Late | Late Message |
| Lapsed | Lapsed Message |
| Paid (or no higher-priority status) | General Message |
For Renewal and Late messages, a Pay Now button is added automatically when online membership payment is available. The Lapsed Message does not include this button.
The section shows nothing for visitors who aren't signed in, members who don't have a Membership Type, or when no applicable message is configured.
Message variables
These placeholders can be used in the message fields on Membership Types:
{first_name}, {last_name}, {renewal_start_date}, {membership_due_date}, {late_end_date}, {membership_type}, {membership_status}, {amount_due}, {dues_price}, {processing_fee}, {late_fee}
Adding one to a page
- Open the page and add a Membership Message Section in the content area.
- Save the page.
- Go to Membership Types and fill in the message fields for each type.
- Review the page while signed in as a member account.
Tips
- Place this section near the top of the dashboard so members see it right away.
- Keep the General Message short and welcoming.
- Use placeholders so dates and amounts update from member data instead of being typed by hand.
- Review messages for each membership type separately — different types can have different wording.
