Page Content Sections - Events Teasers (3) Section

Use the Events Teasers (3) section when you want to show up to three events from selected categories on a page.

What this section is for

This section creates a compact row of event teasers that links visitors to your full events page.

Helpful details:

  • It only pulls events from the categories you select.
  • It is different from the full Events Page section, which shows the full event listing.
  • On default pages, the section uses the main content width.
  • On landing pages, the teaser row is centered inside a container.
  • The section always includes a View All Events » link to /events.

Fields in the Events Teasers (3) Section

Section Title

Use Section Title to help your team identify the section while editing the page.

Helpful detail:

  • This title is internal only. It is not shown on the website.

Background Color

Use Background Color to choose the color styling for the teaser items.

Helpful details:

  • The selected color is applied to each teaser item, not to the entire section background.
  • If you choose white, the accent styling is based on the site's primary theme color.

Border Options

Use Border Options to choose how each teaser item is outlined.

Options:

  • No Border Around Each Item
  • Thin Border Around Each Item
  • Thick Border Around Each Item
  • Thin Border on the Sides and Thick Border Top/Bottom of Each Item

Headline

Use Headline to add a visible title above the teaser row.

Helpful detail:

  • The section header also includes the View All Events » link, so it works best when you provide a headline.

Categories

Use Categories to choose which event categories can appear in this section.

Helpful details:

  • This field is required.
  • Only active categories are available to select.
  • An event can appear if it matches any of the selected categories.

Active

Use Active to control whether this section is included when the page is rendered.

Helpful detail:

  • If Active is turned off, the section stays in the page editor but does not appear on the website.

Important behavior to know

  • This section shows up to 3 matching events.
  • Events are sorted by Start Date, with earlier dates shown first.
  • The section uses each event's active, activation-date, and deactivation-date rules.
  • The section does not separately hide past-dated events on its own.
  • Each teaser links to /events/{event-slug}#item{event-id}.
  • Each teaser shows the event name and formatted start and end dates.
  • This section does not show event details, location, time, image, or a registration button.
  • If fewer than 3 events match, it shows only the matches that exist.
  • If no events match, the section can still show its header and View All Events » link with no teaser items underneath.

Practical setup tips

  • Use a category such as Featured Events if you want tighter control over which events can appear.
  • Keep event activation and deactivation dates current so old items do not stay in the teaser row.
  • Use a short headline so the section stays easy to scan.
  • If you need full event details on the page, use an Events Section instead.
  • You can add more than one teaser section if you want separate event groups on the same page.
  • Use matching border and background styles with News Teasers (3) or Promo Blocks (3) if you want a more consistent page design.

If the section is not behaving as expected

Check these items first:

  • the page was saved after your edits
  • the section's Active toggle is turned on
  • one or more categories were selected
  • the event belongs to one of the selected categories
  • the event record itself is active
  • the event's activation and deactivation dates are not excluding it
  • you are not expecting the section to hide past events automatically
  • you remember that each teaser links out to the full events page
