Search Engine Optimization

The Search Engine Optimization settings page controls the site-wide defaults that search engines and social platforms use when they display information about your site.

Where to find it

  1. Go to Site Settings in the Club Management Portal.
  2. Open Search Engine Optimization.
  3. Make your changes and save.

Schema Data

Area Served - Country — The country your organization serves. Can be a full country name or a two-letter country code.

Area Served - Region — The region within that country, if applicable. National organizations can leave this blank.

These fields help search engines understand the geographic scope of your club.

Meta Data

Default Meta Description — The description used when a page doesn't have its own. This is what search engines show in results below your page title. Keep it concise — around 160 characters is a good target.

Default Social Media Image — The fallback image used when someone shares a page that doesn't have its own sharing image. The recommended size is 1200 x 630 pixels. Accepts .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, and .svg files.

Page-level SEO

These settings are site-wide defaults. Individual Pages and News items can have their own meta descriptions and social sharing images that override these defaults. Use the site-wide settings as a safety net, and set page-level details on your most important content.
