Media Library

The Media Library is the shared image system that powers image fields throughout the Club Management Portal. You'll encounter it whenever you upload or choose images in Pages, News, Promo Blocks, Header Images, Photo Albums, Products, and other content areas.

There's also a standalone Media listing under Site Builder that shows all uploaded media items, though most image work happens within the content you're editing rather than from that central list.

Uploading images

In most image fields, you can drag and drop a file or click the upload area to select one from your computer. The maximum upload size is 10MB per file, though smaller files are better for site performance.

Different fields may show different guidance about recommended dimensions or crop ratios — pay attention to the help text next to each field, as it gives you the most specific guidance for that location.

Reusing existing images

Many image fields include a Use existing media option, which lets you choose a file already in the library instead of uploading it again. This is useful when the same logo, image, or graphic appears in multiple places across the site.

If two placements need very different framing, upload a separate copy rather than reusing the same file — cropping a shared image in one place can affect it elsewhere.

Cropping

Some image fields require cropping to a specific aspect ratio before you can save. The Crop [] button appears after a supported image is uploaded or selected.

  1. Upload or choose an image.
  2. Click Crop [].
  3. Adjust the crop area (and rotate if needed).
  4. Save the crop in the modal.
  5. Save the record you're editing.
  6. Review the result on the live site.

Cropping works with JPG, JPEG, and PNG files. The crop shape depends on the field — some use 4:3, some 40:21, some use the wide 4.5:1 banner format. If cropping is required, complete it before saving the record.

Alt text and captions

Some content areas include fields for Alt Text or captions next to the image field. Fill these in when available — alt text improves accessibility and SEO, especially for important content images.

Multi-image areas

Areas like Photo Albums support multiple images. You can control the display order, which affects how images appear on the website.

Tips

  • Prepare and compress images before uploading for better site performance.
  • Stay well under the 10MB limit when possible.
  • Reuse existing media when you truly want the same image in multiple places.
  • Upload separate copies when different placements need different crops.
  • Add alt text whenever the field is available.
  • Use clear filenames on your computer so you can identify images easily before upload.

If something isn't working

  • Is the file under 10MB?
  • Was the record saved after upload?
  • Was any required crop completed?
  • Is the file JPG, JPEG, or PNG if you expected crop controls?
  • Did you add the image to the correct field?
  • Are alt text or caption fields filled in if you expected that text to appear?
