FAQs
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) lets you create reusable question-and-answer items that display on your website as expandable accordion rows. Create the items here, then place them on pages using the FAQs Section.
While the name says "FAQs," this tool works for any content that benefits from collapsible sections — membership guidelines, committee descriptions, event rules, breed standards, bylaws summaries, or anything else where visitors should be able to scan headings and expand only what interests them. Think of it as a general-purpose accordion builder, not just a place for questions and answers.
Creating an FAQ
- Go to FAQs under Site Builder.
- Click Create FAQ.
- Write the Question — phrase it the way a member would actually ask it.
- Write the Answer — this can include formatted text, links, and instructions.
- Assign Categories to control which page sections this FAQ appears in.
- Turn on Active when it's ready.
- Save.
- Drag the FAQ into the right position in the list — the saved order is the order visitors will see.
How FAQs appear on the website
FAQs are displayed through the FAQs Section on a page. The section pulls only active FAQs in the selected categories, so you can show different FAQ sets on different pages.
Visitors see expandable rows — click a question to reveal the answer. The output also includes FAQ schema markup for search engines.
If you want an introduction above the FAQ list, add a Simple Text Section before the FAQs Section.
Categories
Categories are shared with News and Events. They connect FAQ items to specific page sections. If you want one FAQ to appear in multiple places, assign all relevant categories.
Categories matter most when a page section is filtering content — remember to tag the FAQ record itself, not just configure the section.
Sorting
The FAQ list supports drag-and-drop. The saved order is the order Clubistry uses when rendering FAQs on the website.
If an FAQ isn't showing
- Is it marked Active?
- Does it have a category matching the FAQs Section on the page?
- Is the page section itself active?
- Was the page saved after adding or changing the section?
- Is the FAQ in the correct position in the list?
