Theme Settings
Use Theme inside Site Settings to control your club's main colors, header style, and key header and footer display options.
Where to find Theme settings
- Go to Site Settings in the Club Management Portal.
- Open Branding & Design.
- In the Design panel, use Theme.
- Save your changes.
- Review the live site in a separate tab.
What Theme controls
Theme settings control:
- your primary and secondary brand colors
- generated color shades used throughout the site design
- the background colors for Header Top, Header Bottom, and Footer
- whether the full club name appears next to the logo in the header
- an optional Tagline below the club name
- whether the site uses the Default or Compressed with Minimal Menu header style
Options in Theme
Show Club Name in Header
Turn on Show Club Name in Header if you want the full club name to appear next to your logo on the public site.
Helpful detail:
- this usually works best when your logo is fairly compact, such as a square or round badge-style logo
Tagline
Use Tagline for a short line of text below the club name in the header.
Helpful detail:
- Tagline is only used when Show Club Name in Header is turned on
Primary and Secondary colors
Use the color pickers to choose one Primary color and one Secondary color for your site.
Helpful details:
- Clubistry automatically generates lighter and darker shade variations from each color
- those generated shades are then available when you choose header and footer backgrounds
- the saved theme colors are also used more broadly in the site's styling
Header Style
The current header style choices are:
- Default
- Compressed with Minimal Menu
Helpful details:
- Default is the standard header layout
- Compressed with Minimal Menu is better for clubs with only a small number of top-level navigation items
- if your top-level page names are long or you have many top-level items, the compressed style may feel crowded
Header Top, Header Bottom, and Footer
Use these selectors to choose background colors for:
- Header Top
- Header Bottom
- Footer
Helpful detail:
- these selectors can use White, Black, and the generated primary and secondary color shades
Live Preview
The Live Preview area shows an example of how your current theme choices work together.
Helpful detail:
- the preview is there to help with quick review, but it is still important to check the live site after saving
How Theme settings affect the website
After you save:
- the selected header style changes the public site header layout
- the selected header and footer backgrounds update those areas on the public site
- the chosen theme colors provide the site's main color palette
- the club name and tagline appear in the header only if you turned that option on
If the theme does not look the way you expected
Check these items first:
- your changes were saved in Branding & Design
- the live site tab has been refreshed
- the selected header style fits the number and length of your top-level navigation items
- the logo still looks balanced if Show Club Name in Header is turned on
- any custom code in Advanced is not overriding the normal theme styling
