Actions

Actions let you run tasks directly from the Club Management Portal — things like checking a member's status, recording a payment, sending a password reset, or assigning a membership type. Instead of navigating to a separate tool, you handle it right where you're already working.

Where to find actions

On a detail view — Open any record's detail view (for Members and Renewals, click the row; for other resources, click the Detail [] button) and look for the Actions [] menu in the top-right corner. Choose the action you want, fill in any fields it asks for, and save.

On a list page — Go to a list like Members or Membership Renewals, select one or more records using the checkboxes, and open the Actions dropdown. This is how you run actions on multiple records at once.

Inline shortcuts — Some actions appear directly in the list as buttons instead of inside the dropdown. For example, Check Membership Status and Connect to Stripe can appear as inline actions. The Pay shortcut on Membership Renewals opens the renewal and launches Manually Register Dues Payment.

Why you might not see an action

  • Your role doesn't include access to that action.
  • The action is only available on the detail view, not in the list.
  • The record isn't in the right status for that action (for example, you can't register a payment on a renewal that's already paid).
  • The action is limited to Administrators.

Common member actions

Action What it does
Check Membership Status Re-runs renewal processing for a member
Email Account Information Sends the member their account information email
Register Payment Records a payment from the member record
Send Member Password Reset Email Sends a password reset link to the member's email
Assign Membership Type Changes the member's membership type
Send Email Notification Sends an active renewal reminder to selected members

Common renewal and membership type actions

Action What it does
Manually Register Dues Payment Records a payment for a specific renewal
Connect to Stripe Attempts to connect a membership type to Stripe if the automatic connection didn't happen

Before you run an action

  • Read the confirmation message before saving.
  • If the action opens a form, fill in every field that matters.
  • For payment actions, double-check the amount before saving.
  • For reminder emails, verify the member has opted in to receive electronic communications.
  • For bulk actions, confirm which records are selected — it's easy to accidentally include more than you intended.
